xthevoodoogirl asked: White hair is amazing. I rocked a white mohawk for a long time and LOVED IT...but it was a very damaging process to my hair. As for a toner, I would suggest one called "White Lady" by Wella I believe which you can find at Sally's.

sylentsongs asked: Any advice for bleaching a specific patch of hair? How would you bleach a section of hair without accidentally getting bleach on the hair around it?

Anonymous asked: If you do go to a pro for white hair, please, please, please make sure it's someone who comes highly recommended. Find someone with awesome blonde hair and ask them where they get it done. A LOT of professionals are not comfortable with bleach, and even those who are don't always know how to apply it correctly. I know of a lot of girls who have had chemical burns from so-called...

eclecticeccentric asked: For white hair, if you've never done it before, PLEASE GO TO A PROFESSIONAL. I've done it tons and it's a stressful process. You have to bleach your hair almost totally white on it's own before the toner will give you a decent white. True white is nearly impossible because it's nearly impossible to get your hair light enough for the toner to work. Seriously, GO TO A PRO....

kitty-corpses asked: What would you consider to be a good brand for touching up after getting hair professionally dyed? I'm getting my hair dyed black, neon green and neon yellow, but I want to be able to keep the colors vibrant and the roots covered in between multiple visits to the hair salon without getting it re-dyed every time I go. :3

Anonymous asked: From experience any color will last longer if you wash your hair with soap less frequently (it's actually better for your hair too!) as well as mixing some dye with conditioner and leaving it on for a few minutes in the shower. I heard a lot of bad things about manic panic but I've managed to make blue last almost 3 months (with some fading of course) with 2 redyes using these tactics

lunagracie asked: Special Effects lasts a long time too. I've only used the pink but after a year of recoloring every few months, the dye started looking darker and duller from all of the layers and I had to bleach it all out. If you're going to keep a color for a long time, I suggest something that fades a bit easier, that way it'll always look bright even though you have to recolor more frequently....

taykash asked: Adore lasted FOREVER on me (for blue), and faded to a really pretty light blue. They're a salon-only brand though, I think.

yourokiwillbei asked: Vero K Pak fashion colors & Goldwell fashion colors (Elumen) last the longest, from personal experience. That is if you don't wash your hair everyday (which is the worst thing to do color treated hair). Try it out!

gameofgraham asked: To the anon asking about blue, I use Splat, and it lasts for a pretty long time, like generally I only have to dye it at the same time as the black, so it lasts. The only time I've had problems with it is when I went to a lake and all the soaking & sun made it fade faster.

grey-macaw asked: splat never ever worked for me, neither did manic panic, its all too messy and runs so much, ive always used RAW or punky colour, and for best results i always redye my hair with the same color after the first shampoo so it covers everywhere :] also from my experience, warm colors wash out muchhhh faster than cool colors.

dancingnkd asked: What would you say is the best unnatural color dye to use? I currently put Ion fuchsia in my hair for the second time and with one wash it faded a good amount, and i'm pretty disappointed to say the very least.

pasunpapillon asked: for synthetic dreads making your own or going on Etsy are your best bets. ( i'd suggest making your own if you're any good at hair it should be very simple, and cost effective.)

zombie-grrrl asked: There are full lists of reputable synthetic dread sellers on the hair extensions forum just google ' hair extensions forum' and it should be the first one that comes up. Or you can search for the group 'Hair extension Society' on Facebook. Both have feedback and galleries of sellers work :)
