libropassione asked: Hey I have really dark brown almost black natural hair and right now its tinted with red that has faded. I want to dye my hair (or have someone do it for me) to this really pretty light auburn (or this darker strawberry blonde?) its really hard to describe but its a lot lighter than my natural (and current). Do you know the best way to go about this? And if I do get it done, then the best way to...

gothboygirlhorror asked: the best thing to keep your hair long is to reduce breakage - most important stop heat treatments (straightening, blow drying), sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase, put your hair up in a top bun or braids while you're sleeping and while you're doing active things. coconut oiling the ends really lightly, while they are still damp, prevents split ends. bleaching and dying your hair makes...

exp3ctopatr0num asked: I've heard with Biotin people have been breaking out from it. Honestly, there's nothing that's been proven to make your hair grow any quicker. By damaging it (bleaching, straightening, etc), you'd be causing the ends to break off making it seem like your hair isn't growing. Be patient or get extensions :)

gothboygirlhorror asked: for dandruff you can try rubbing a little coconut oil on your scalp an hour before you wash it. works for me.

kizzdapope asked: frequently. shampooing your hair takes out all the dirt and oil and conditioning it puts artificial ones back in. thats not healty for your scalp try washing it every 3-4 days if you dont already, so you can get those natural oils back. over time your hair will change dramatically! look and feel healthier and it will start growing! try it for a month and if nothing is helping then go see a doctor

kizzdapope asked: for the person asking about dandruff. you dont have to go to a doctor they will tell you the same thing -use a anti dandruff shampoo-. what i tell all of my clients is you dont have dandruff you have dry scalp. the next time your looking to buy a new bottle of shampoo look for something with extreme hydration. spend the extra money on it if you need to! i have the worst dandruff i've ever...

octobur-morte asked: Hi! I've been trying to dye my hair back to it's natural black colour the past month. I've already dyed it twice now, using two different brands. The problem I'm having is that, after I wash my hair two times the colour fades a lot, so much that it goes from a blue black to a light brown colour. I have no idea what's wrong. My hair has never done this with any other colour...

ungodubiquitous asked: Yeah, I wanted to add that about not using a hi-lift color on colored hair in my last message, but I couldn't get it too fit~ You can use a hi-lift color on naturally dark hair, but it won't do much on colored hair, as artificial color won't lift artificial color. Like das-spooky and the mod said though, getting your hair done professionally is really the best way to go.

das-spooky asked: if your hair is colored black, as in you have dyed it, especially if you've done it multiple times, you won't be able to achieve any lift without a color remover/bleach. you can achieve lift on natural, uncolored hair, but the results would be better if you went to a professional. theres one other option if you just wanted a few chunks or highlights however. its professional use only,...

Anonymous asked: To the anon asking about black hair to red hair – depending on your hair's texture, you might be able to add a red tint with some henna or something. A vibrant red, though, will be impossible without bleach.

Anonymous asked: What's a good hair dye for like ginger red/orange hair? And do you know if I would need to bleach my hair (My hair is just brown)?

ungodubiquitous asked: Well, actually, there is a way! It does involve lifting the natural hair color, but it's technically not bleaching. You can use a hi-lift color~ You probably won't get any super fantastically bright red, but it'll definitely be red. Sally's has a color line called L'Oreal Excellence HiColor, and you can buy that, mix it with 40 volume peroxide, and that'll get you to...

oonzia asked: I've been thinking about dying my hair with kool-aid to try out colors because it doesn't damage hair, but the internet says that it will last anywhere from a few days to 2 months, depending on where you look. Do you know anything about how long it will stay in?
