neuro-narcosis-deactivated20120 asked: Hi! I have light strawberry blonde hair but my natural hair colour is black. I have to deal with my roots often so first I'll make sure my hair is strong enough (if not I buy hair strengthening conditioner and saturate my hair) and then I apply 30-40 volume bleach with a small amount of conditioner to my roots/hair until it makes my hair go ginger. I put a protective serum mask to prevent it...

Anonymous asked: For people who are considering bleaching their hair and worried about their hair breaking or becoming too damaged, a good way to test what your hair can take is to take a strand between your hands and pull it. If you feel it bounce back after you pull it then your hair is still good to go. If it doesn't have too much of a bounce or it breaks then you shouldn't go anywhere near your head...

beautifulmania asked: Hello... I love this blog, and look at it all the time. <3 I sent a handful of pictures of my head, in its many colouful incarnations for everyone to see. Im a professional hair dresser and love loud, outrageous colours and styles. emileedee asked: About stripping/bleaching hair... it really depends on your hair. Naturally curly hair is usually dryer than naturally straight hair. Some girls can bleach their hair a lot and it won't damage it too much, but some do it once and it damages it a lot. Also, if you bleach it and use a lot of heat it wrecks it more. Which I'm sure a lot of people know. (My friend is a cosmetologist so...

Anonymous asked: I've also had black stripped out of my hair before, and it survived the ordeal quite well. I went to a salon though because I tried using Color B4 for the first time and it made my roots orange, while my tips were still black. So, maybe you can do it at home if you know what you're doing, but I think it's worth the money to go to a salon for it.

Anonymous asked: I've had my permanent black hair dye stripped out of my hair a year ago, changed my haircolor at least 8 times since and my hair is still smooth, though a little damaged there and there. So no, it is not necesseraly true.

sufferinglittleshesaint asked: I read somewhere that if you stripped your hair of black dye, it could possibly damage your hair so badly that you would be unable to redye it. Is this true? :P

caideedanielle-deactivated20120 asked: Hi! I was just curious as to if there was any way to lighten black hair WITHOUT bleach. My hair's black now, but since it's grown out almost halfway down my head..I wanted to go back to brown. But since I'm trying to get it to grow out, I was wondering what options I had that didn't involve bleach. Love your blog by the way; it's fantastic :)

Anonymous asked: The bottom layer of my hair is pink, but it's quite faded and my roots are grown out about 4 inches. I want to get rid of the pink and do another color, possibly blue. How should I do this?
